Tsunami Benefit Show

Thursday, January 13, 2005
More than a dozen musical acts have signed on to perform in NBC Universal's tsunami benefit special, which will raise money for the American Red Cross's relief efforts. Among those scheduled to perform in the special, titled 'Tsunami Aid: A Concert of Hope,' are Madonna, Sheryl Crow, Lenny Kravitz, Eric Clapton, Mary J. Blige, Kenny Chesney, Brian Wilson, India.Arie, John Mayer and Gloria Estefan. A number of other stars, including George Clooney, Usher, Halle Berry and Uma Thurman, are also set to appear. The concert, airing at 8 p.m. ET Saturday (Jan. 15), will be broadcast on NBC and all its cable networks. The PAX network, which is partly owned by NBC, and Spanish-language broadcaster Telemundo will also air the benefit. During the benefit, viewers will be directed to a phone number and website for the American Red Cross International Response Fund, which is working to provide victims of the Dec. 26 disaster with food and water and to prevent disease in the areas hit by the tsunamis. The Red Cross is at work on long-term aid efforts that include mental health counseling and disaster preparedness initiatives.

Jen and Brad

Monday, January 10, 2005
I was horrified and shocked as I heard the news today of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's break up. I was so hopeful for them and the way the handled the media that surrounded them. (Unlike J-lo and Ben!)

Oh Hollywood, the pressure you put on young married couples.

The other thing that was shocking was that they met on a blind date. I would think that when either party asked "what's his/her name?" that might have given it away!!!

Rebirth

Tuesday, January 04, 2005
Is the world ready? Has it been long enough? Can we really ever forget the gauntlet of Ben and Jen (aka. Benifer)?

These are questions that will soon be answered--sort of. J-Lo's soon to be released album, entitled Rebirth, will be released to the masses on March 1, 2005. I happened to hear the premiere of the first single, Get Right. J-lo is as smooth as always in a sultry vibe teamed up with Fabolous on this cut. However, someone went a bit overboard with the whole party vibe by evidently providing a small child with a small kazoo party favor to blow for the whole first half of the song! Strangely enough I think it may be good enough that the annoyance factor is X-ed out!

Who comes out on top--Jen or Ben? Anybodies guess at this point. I am give edge to J-Lo at this point--what has Ben done lately????
